A Coronation Street actor has been charged with sexually assaulting two women.
34-year-old Bruno Langley, who stars as Todd Grimshaw on the ITV soap, faces claims he sexually assaulted the two women at a Manchester nightclub on the same night.
Bruno left Coronation Street following the claims made against him following an alleged incident in the Northern Quarter of Manchester at the beginning of last month.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokeman told OK! Online: "The CPS authorised Greater Manchester Police on October 29 to charge Bruno Langley with two offences of sexual assault on a female on October 1. The charges relate to two complainants."
He will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on November 28th to face the charges against him.
In a statement, he told OK! Online: "Sadly, I will no longer be working on Coronation Street. Acting on the show has been the fulfilment of a personal dream."
"Playing the role of Todd Grimshaw since I was 17 years old has been a huge part of my life, and an absolute honour."
"I would like to thank all of my friends who work on the show for their love, friendship and support during this extremely difficult period."
"I will make a further statement in due course, and when I am able to do so."
