Max Branning could murder his own daughters to keep his sinister plans under wraps.
EastEnders bosses faced a huge backlash from fans after it was announced that Abi And Lauren Branning have been axed from the BBC soap, writes Mirror.co.uk.
It could be even more controversial if the characters - played by Lorna Fitzgerald and Jacqueline Jossa - are killed off and denied the chance to return to Albert Square one day.
However, it looks like it be a strong possibility after the show's bosses refused to deny that the sisters could be 'going in a box'.
Speaking on This Morning, soap expert Sharon Marshall promised it will be one of the biggest on-screen moments of the year.
She said: "Is Max going to get away with it? Will he lie his way through?"
"Will he get even worse as its been announced that Abi and Lauren are leaving the show. I've been told it's going to be a really explosive storyline over Christmas and the New Year."
"They won't tell me if they're going in a box or not. So how far will he actually go to keep his secrets?"
